Looking back down the road, I see you walking behind me, dressed for the winter even though the sun shines. Your face is black with the coal from below, I want to clean your velvet dress so that the dust doesn't linger in your throat when you sing. The pavement doesn't feel your footsteps when you're walking on them. It's not that people don't notice, they're just looking right through you. They're the ones who can get right through the day doing work for someone else - you didn't understand why they bothered. So where do you go now to drown all your sorrows? Let me know if you need to borrow my love to set you free. Do you know how the sun goes down in Barcelona? Let me know if you're ever gonna' be fine. Looking back in the past, I see you walking beside me. You've got a red rose in your hair, I see the thorns sticking out. Your voice is cold but your mouth breaths fire, I want to tame your velvet tongue, so that we can fly down the meadows like hummingbirds. And we'll go... So where do you go now to drown all your sorrows? Let me know if you need to borrow my love to set you free. Do you know how the sun goes down in Barcelona? Let me know if you're ever gonna' be fine.

Tell me where you got that rose down by the waterfall, I hear the music coming down from there. And every step I take, I sink just a bit lower into the mud of such a frosty lake. Tell me where you got that smile down by the waterfall, I hear the devil sold it to you down there, and every step you take it leads to a fiery pit, but you still say that it's angels singing 'da da da'... And sometimes we think it might go, And sometimes we think it might stay, Depending on the day now, Depending on the day now. And sometimes we think it might pass, Seeing blue skies in the black, Depending on the day now, Depending on the day now. I can see the way it ends down my the waterfall, just give me something I can hold on to. And every time we talk, we drop toward a fiery pit, but you still say that your heart is singing, 'da da da'... And sometimes we think it might go, And sometimes we think it might stay, Depending on the day now, Depending on the day now. And sometimes we think it might pass, Seeing blue skies in the black, Depending on the day now, Depending on the day now.

Sailing on this beautiful sinking ship, as you watch on the shore on your lawn chair kit. It's hard, you know, to get over this when I know you love the way my pain makes you feel confident. How does it feel to be loved by all? Must be nice, although you don't know what you want. But the choices are there, and the dice is in your hands. It's too bad you love yourself more than any of them. We'll find a way to figure it out. We'll find a way to get rid of the doubt. And it's true what they say, That time erases everything, Yes, my love, even you. Avoiding giving me some answers. They're probably changing all the time, like your hair colour, and those empty eyes, and my worn out ties, and the grey area that sits between a truth and a lie. But I'll find a way to figure it out. And I'll find a way to get rid of the doubt. And it's true what they say, That time erases everything, Yes, my love, yes it's true. Yes, my lost love, even you.

Take a picture darling, store it in your mind, I came untangled tonight. My mind was messy with a message of vines, I couldn't tell what was divine. Twisted cells began to knock me on the ground, but I came untangled tonight. And in the darkness your face still shines, so I came untangled tonight. You spun me 'round to the right. And you said, "Hey, babe, I like the way you touch my face" And I said, "Hey, girl, I like the way you do your twirl, would you be my girl?" It's no coincidence this knot came untied, I'm gonna' climb up tonight and pay a visit to the girl who changed the world, one smile at a time. I was a victim of an unknown crime: two robbers stealing my mind. You came along and wrote it down, and it said, "you'll come untangled tonight, I'll spin you 'round to the right" And you said, "Hey, babe, I like the way you touch my face", and I said, "Hey, girl, I like the way you do your twirl, would you be my girl?" And you said "Hey, babe, I like the way you know my grace", and I said "Hey, girl, I like the way you show me the world. Would you be my girl?"

I wish we could slow down, lets go sailing, can't stay still when the branches are swaying with cold wind sweeping through I wanna write something with organization, take some time, take a vacation from all these scattered thoughts going... The sun told me secrets about the blue moon, told me something was happening soon but I forgot to write it down. So I can't quite remember exactly what was said. Words of wisdom? Words of the dead? And how can I tell that it isn't just all in my head? Oh well. Just keep on singing.
